Ransomware 2018 status

In 2018, Datto surveyed Managed Service Providers like HCST about their experiences with Ransomware. Of the over 2,400 responses, the results are staggering.

Between Q2 2016 and Q2 2018, 79% of MSPs reported their clients experienced ransomware attacks. In the first half of 2018 alone, 55% reported attacks against their clients.

The average cost in terms of downtime and recovery efforts for those hit by ransomware is running around $46,800!
